Elevation: to raise to a higher level; to lift up (Verb)

Scriptural Foundation: And so we shall all come together to that oneness in our faith and in our knowledge of the Son of God; we shall become mature people, reaching to the very height of Christ's full stature. Then we shall no longer be children, carried by the waves and blown about by every shifting wind of the teaching of deceitful people, who lead others into error by the tricks they invent. Instead, by speaking the truth in a spirit of love, we must grow up in every way to Christ, who is the head. (Eph 4:13-15 GNB)

Church Mission (what we commit to doing): The mission of Elevation Chapel AME Church is to preach, teach and share the truth of scripture in the sprit of love, so that people may elevate and grow toward Christ. Elevation Chapel also has a mission of community restoration and providing resources to people in its community. 

Church Vision (what we pray to become): To be a highly effective church helping people become closer to God, and serving people through effective ministries.

Strategy: Under God’s control, all the different ministries of the church fit together, and the whole church is held together by every ministry. Therefore, when each separate ministry works, as it should, the whole church grows and builds itself up through love. (Adapted from Eph 4:16 GNB)

Elevation Chapel AME Church is a church with a focus on God, and a passion for His people. We believe that the community of saints has a biblical charge beyond just weekly services. Elevation Chapel seeks to serve its community through authentic community development ministries and initiatives. Elevation Chapel is committed to making significant investments toward measurable progress in its surrounding community.
